The sssp client is very easy to configure through its web interface menu and you can be connected and running to your satellite receiver in as little as 5 mintues. There is no need to run any software on your computer and the sssp client will connect to your wireless router. You can also use the sssp client as a wireless bridge for your blu-ray player or xbox 360 and connect up to 5 devices at once to the sssp client with almost no configuration.

Setup instruction:

Step 1. Log into the dongle by connecting your pc into one of the 4 lan ports and grabbing a dhcp ip address. After that you log into the web interface by typing 192.168.1.1 into the url bar of your web browser.

Step 2. Go to the connection page. Select wireless bridge. Set the bridge ip to an address in the subnet of your primary router. If your primary router is 192.168.0.1 then set it to 192.168.0.2 or similar. And if it’s 192.168.1.1 set it to 192.168.1.2 or similar. Remember after you change this number and save, you will need to type that number into the url bar. Set the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0 set the ap/gateway ip address to that of your primary router. Like 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 depending on which brand you have. Select repeater disable. Then, click scan and select your primary router from the list. Then enter your password if any and click save. Wait about 2 mintues and enter the new ip address that you had selected for the bridge ip into the url bar.

Step 3. Relocate your dongle from your pc to our satellite receiver and connect the serial cable that came with your satellite receiver to the x-fta dongle. Then, power of the x-fta dongle and wait 2 minutes before connecting to it from your pc. After you lo into the x-fta dongle, please go to the satellite menu and check enable rq-sssp. Then go down to receiver settings and select which type of satellite receiver you have. Coolsat, captiveworkds or gbox for all others. Then go down to card server settings and on the existing one click edit. Leave the host alone, set the port to 11112, use name is timmy and your password is worren.
